Liver Support
The liver performs a wide range of functions in the body, primarily detoxification of drugs, toxins, and hormones. Other functions include homoeostasis of nutrients and hormones, synthesis and storage of nutrients, production of immune factors, and excretion of cholesterol, hormones and toxins through bile. Bile salts are also involved in the digestion and absorption of fats. Hepato-protective and anti-inflammatory herbs play a vital role in supporting and regeneration of liver tissue. B vitamins and folic acid contribute to the methylation pathway producing glutathione, which is a powerful antioxidant required in the liver for biotransformation of toxins.
